Leonie Brugger

Sustainable Development & Equitable Transformation

Global & Generational Justice

Leonie sees moderation as more than guiding a conversation. It also means creating a space where complex questions can be explored with honesty, depth, and openness.

What drives her is a fundamental question that sits at the heart of most discussions in politics, business and society. Because many of the conversations shaping our world come down to one simple question:

Who benefits and who doesn’t?

Through her own experience of moving between countries, cultures and sectors she kept encountering this question at the core of debates across contexts.

Whether we speak about climate, economic systems, or social change, these conversations are ultimately about justice: global, generational, or social.

Giving a voice to the unheard

Having lived across Germany, France, the US, the UK and Costa Rica, and worked in the private, public and non-profit sectors, Leonie brings a perspective that connects different systems, interests and lived realities. She is particularly interested in topics that shape a more sustainable and equitable future for all, across sectors, geographies and communities.

Leonie believes that privilege comes with responsibility. It should be used to help facilitate conversations for those who are not always heard, which is what she strives to do through her work.

She is convinced that better decisions emerge when diverse perspectives are brought into the room and taken seriously. Conversations should allow for nuance instead of forcing simple answers.

Bridging perspectives

Because most challenges we face today are not black or white. They require us to navigate trade-offs and find the most responsible “shade of grey.”

Conversations cannot remove that complexity, but they can make it visible and workable.

As a German and English-speaking moderator, Leonie creates spaces where different perspectives can be voiced, understood and connected. She combines analytical clarity with empathy and adaptability, enabling conversations that are both structured and open, and that move from positions to understanding, and from understanding to better decisions.
