Feminist Perspectives on Politics, Economics & Social Change

Dr. Alena Sander

If you ask Dr. Alena Sander what drives her, she will respond:
feminist perspectives on politics, economics, labor, and academia; resistance and social change in democracies; and solidarity in times of crisis.

She doesn’t just work on these topics—she lives them. Whatever she does – when she steps on stage, you can feel that passion.

Alena has spent years working with international organizations, universities, NGOs and institutions as a speaker, facilitator, consultant, researcher – sometimes shaping policies, sometimes diving deep into research, sometimes accompanying people on different learning journeys. Whether she’s moderating a panel, a fireside chat, or a fishbowl discussion, she brings energy, sharp insights, and an inclusive approach that makes sure all voices are heard.

Alena has called Brussels home for years, but her work takes her all over—from Berlin to Paris to beyond. She speaks German, English, and French and always brings the same commitment, no matter where the conversation happens.
